City Manager Wilson Hooper said auditors from independent firm Gould Killian will present Brevard City's FY25 comprehensive financial audit at the council meeting on Monday. "Travis will provide a summary of the city's recently completed FY25 comprehensive financial report," Hooper said.
Hooper summarized the auditors' high-level finding: "All in all, the city's in good financial health, and our financial controls are deemed adequate." He also reminded viewers that state law requires local governments to conduct annual audits and submit results to the Local Government Commission (LGC), which oversees municipal finances in the state.
Hooper said audit documents and supporting materials will be linked with the council packet for public review. The audit summary is scheduled as one of two special presentations early in the meeting.
