Commissioner Karas moved to designate NACO to facilitate printing and mailing postcards for a potential joint public hearing in September; the motion was seconded by Chairman Caverzagie and approved. The board also approved payment of claims submitted that day and recorded totals across funds: General Fund disbursements of $242,805.21 (including payroll expense of $118,612.86), Road & Bridge Fund $105,331.35, Visitor's Promotion Fund $2,775.00, County Visitor's Improvement Fund $7,700.00, Drug Court Fund $2,600.00, and Sheriff Commissary Fund $1,057.55.
Chairman Caverzagie recessed the meeting for an executive session at 9:32 a.m. to discuss personnel matters and to protect the reputation of an individual(s); County Attorney Samantha Scheitel and Deputy Sheriff Clinton Stonebarger attended that session. The board reconvened at 9:50 a.m. and adjourned the regular meeting at 10:32 a.m. The next regular meeting is scheduled for June 3, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in Falls City.
