The MSAD 60 Board authorized the superintendent to hire teachers between June 12 and Aug. 28 to avoid losing candidates during the summer, and it approved multiple personnel actions during its June 4 meeting.
Following a motion and second, the board gave the superintendent written authorization to make summer teacher offers for the period June 12–Aug. 28. The board then approved two sets of administrator nominations to move employees from probationary categories (probationary‑1 to probationary‑2; probationary‑2 to continuing contract).
The board approved individual hiring motions for the following teachers (motions moved, seconded and approved): Danielle Collins (North Burwick Elementary music teacher); Balin Vasquez Kamano (Noble Middle & High world language teacher — Spanish and French); Riley Champagne (grade six social studies and science at Noble Intermediate); Abigail LeBlanc (Noble Intermediate grade six math); and Lindsey Goldstein (behavior interventionist at North Burrough Elementary).
The board accepted resignations from Morgan Lynch (Noble Middle & High world language teacher), Kella Sillis (Noble Intermediate health teacher), and Sarah Belstro (Nolton School fourth grade). Board members expressed appreciation for departing staff and asked for exit‑interview feedback over the summer to understand turnover drivers.
Next steps: The board requested aggregated exit interview feedback and asked staff to report summaries during summer or fall meetings.
