Mont Belvieu opens Edgewood Drive; signal planned at Eagle Drive intersection

A City staff member credited the city’s construction, engineering and community development teams for completing the work and changing local traffic patterns. "Kudos to our construction Crews and our engineering and Community Development teams for getting that open," the staff member said. Staff noted the intersection currently operates with a stop sign but said a traffic signal will be installed in the near future; the staff member said they will provide more details in an upcoming episode of the city update.
City staff framed the early opening as a convenience and safety improvement for nearby retail and school traffic and advised motorists to watch for new traffic patterns as signage and signals are added. No construction timetable or exact signal-installation date was specified.
