The Jasper City Council on June 2 approved multiple contract awards and renewed the city jail’s health-care contract in unanimous votes.
Jessica presented procurement recommendations, saying she recommended awarding the physician-services contract for the after-hours clinic and awarding animal-shelter improvements to JKN Incorporated, doing business as Cornerstone Construction, as the lowest responsible bidders. Council members moved and approved the recommendations by voice vote.
Jessica also recommended renewing the comprehensive inmate health-care contract with Preemptive Forensic Health Care Solutions for an additional year under the existing terms and pricing. The council voted unanimously to renew the agreement.
Council members did not request further hearings on the contracts; the awards and renewal will proceed under the terms presented at the meeting.
