Alpine council approves community service grants and ratifies pool operations plan tied to water conditions

Separately, the council ratified Resolution 2026-05-02A concerning Alpine Municipal Swimming Pool operations. The resolution maintains a $4 daily admission fee, establishes monthly individual and family passes, and conditions pool filling and operation on the operational availability of the Carright well and the city's transition from stage four to stage three water conservation conditions. Once the required conditions are met, the city manager or a designee is authorized to begin filling and opening the pool for the 2026 season.
Both resolutions were approved unanimously. City staff said the pool may open as soon as early June depending on contractor availability and weather, but operation remains contingent on meeting the drought-response conditions specified in the resolution.
