Supervisor of elections announces Surfside vote set for March 17, 2026

Alina Garcia, the Miami-Dade County supervisor of elections, told Surfside residents that the town’s general, municipal and special elections will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. "Mark your calendars," Garcia said in the announcement.
Garcia said polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Surfside Town Hall Commission Chambers. She urged residents who plan to vote in person to note the hours and location.
The supervisor of elections gave a Feb. 17, 2026 deadline for voter registration to be eligible for the March vote. "To participate, be sure you're registered to vote by Tuesday, February 17th of 2026," Garcia said.
Residents who prefer to vote by mail must submit a request by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026, Garcia added. Requests can be made online, by phone or in person.
Garcia closed with a get-out-the-vote message, saying, "Your vote is your voice. Make a plan, know your dates, and be part of Surfside future." She directed listeners to the town website for additional information and logistics about voting.
