At the June 3 meeting of the Paramount Economic Development Board staff provided an oral budget update for the coming fiscal year and reaffirmed continued support for the Paramount Chamber of Commerce, including a $50,000 city contribution. Staff said the funds help underwrite the chamber's training programs, business advocacy, ribbon cuttings and publications distributed to the community.
Staff also noted upcoming ribbon-cutting events and encouraged attendance; Sprouts Farmers Market was announced to open with a ribbon cutting Friday at 6:45 a.m. (staff said the store would operate under a temporary certificate of occupancy while finishing touches are completed).
