On June 3 the Development Review Board approved a request from OCNC Construction (doing business as Orange Corrosion Services) to construct a 3,200-square-foot warehouse at 16448 and 16456 Minnesota Avenue in the central industrial district.
Staff said the project will demolish a 480-square-foot building, retain an existing 1,000-square-foot structure for administrative uses, and provide nine parking spaces (including one ADA space). Conditions require the applicant to merge the two lots into a single parcel within one year (direction from public works), submit an irrigation and landscaping plan and repair any damaged lot concrete before occupancy. Applicant Jose Oscar Castanos said the facility will be used for equipment staging and temporary storage to support the company's Southern California pipeline-industry operations.
The board approved the application with conditions; staff will monitor the lot merger and site improvements during the permit and construction process.
