La Plata Planning Commission approves 2025 annual report; staff updates on local projects

The La Plata Planning Commission approved the 2025 annual report and adopted a resolution to submit the report to the Town Council and the Maryland Department of Planning by the July 1 deadline required by state law.
Director Dooley explained the annual report documents prior year land development approvals and is prepared in the format required by the Maryland Department of Planning. The Commission moved and voted to approve the document.
In staff reports, Dooley said Rosewick Apartments 2 is resolving traffic impact study comments and may come back to the Commission this summer; staff completed a first plan check for the local high school expansion with a target to pull permits in July; and the county library working drawings are under staff review with comments expected back to the county shortly.
With no further business, Chair Banks adjourned the meeting.
