The Flower Bluff ISD Board of Trustees opened its June 4 board workshop by recognizing teachers who earned the state’s Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) designations, announcing that designated teachers will receive their allotment funds with June paychecks.
Mrs. Nicole White, who led the presentation, described the designation tiers used for the 2024–25 year and read lists of awardees. She said the “recognized” designation reflected 60–69% student growth with an overall evaluation of proficient or better, while the “master” level reflected 80–100% student growth and a proficient-or-better evaluation. "All TIA designated teachers will receive their annual allotment funds with their June paychecks," White told the board and audience.
White called names from the recognized, exemplary and master rosters and asked recipients to remain for a group photo. She noted some designees could not attend the meeting; the district will issue the awards regardless. "We had 127 teachers qualify for designation," she said, drawing applause from attendees.
The recognition segment concluded with board members praising teachers, administrators and curriculum staff for their role in student growth metrics and instruction. The ceremony preceded the board's budget workshop, which the administration said will consider the fiscal effects of personnel decisions and recent allotment payments.
The district provided no vote or formal action tied to the recognitions; they were presented as ceremonial acknowledgments and as context for budget conversations to follow.
