At the June 4 workshop, the Oakland Township Board of Supervisors reviewed a slate of items slated for the coming Monday business meeting, including contract authorizations, zoning advertisements and conditional-use hearings.
The board discussed authorization to enter into three contracts: Bowman for pedestrian upgrades at Witford Road and Lorie Circle (grant funded); HRG for a stormwater funding study to identify sustainable long-term financing for stormwater issues; and AKRF to provide acoustical consulting services and expand the township’s consultant bench.
Presenters said the township will also seek either an agreement or resolution to allow police access to PennDOT’s crash-information tool, a separate authorization the township requires despite routine crash record access elsewhere. The board noted two extension requests will appear: one for 675 Peek Road and another for Rockwell Downingtown LLC for Lionville Station Farm.
The agenda preview included permission to advertise an industrial-uses zoning ordinance addressing warehouses, distribution facilities and data centers; an amendment to the township’s hotels/motels ordinance based on industry conversations; and a potential PRD1 overlay zoning map amendment and tentative PRD plan for Rockwell Downingtown LLC (submission timing uncertain). The board also noted a conditional-use hearing scheduled after the meeting for Eagle View Town Center, lots 17 and 20.
No formal board votes occurred at the workshop; the board’s review was procedural and intended to shape the Monday agenda and notify supervisors of forthcoming public hearings and contract authorizations.
