The Plymouth Communication Advisory Board opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and moved promptly into business, approving the previous meeting’s minutes by voice vote.
The board then addressed leadership after Al’s departure. The vice chair explained the nomination and voting procedure and opened the floor for nominations. "I would love to nominate Joanna to be the chair of this board," a committee member said; with no other nominations the board closed nominations and voted to install Joanna as chair. One member recorded an abstention during the vote; exact tallies were not read into the record.
After the election the vice chair said they would continue as vice chair and assist with agendas and meeting facilitation until Joanna assumes full responsibility.
No ordinances or policy changes were considered in this session. The board adjourned after setting next steps on communications work and scheduling the next meeting for July 1 at the GPCC.
