County moves forward with plan to adopt Susquehanna software for Drug & Alcohol electronic health records

Iler said the county's mental health and IDD departments are contracting with Susquehanna already and that choosing the vendor for Drug & Alcohol aligns with the county’s strategic plan to examine an EHR across behavioral health departments. She said the department would use DDAP case-management funding to support the project, and that Susquehanna is used by "about over 60% of the SCAs within Pennsylvania," which staff cited as evidence of the system’s prevalence among similar agencies.
Commissioners moved and seconded the capital request to bring a formal contract proposal to the board at a subsequent meeting; staff said they would meet with other SCAs to see operational practices before finalizing the contract proposal.
