Claudia Gardner of Public Safety asked the commissioners to accept a Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency EMPG award for fiscal year 2024–25, a reimbursable grant with a performance period from Oct. 1, 2024 through Sept. 30, 2025.
Gardner said the award amount is $86,467 and that eligible expenses under the grant cover up to 50% of two public safety salary-and-benefit positions. She also told the board the award amount represents about a 5% decrease from the three-year average and requested the commissioners electronically sign the grant agreement promptly because of delays in receiving the agreement.
Commissioners moved, seconded and approved acceptance of the EMPG grant at the meeting.
