County approves extensive MHIDD contract renewals and increases, including a $109,061 boost to UCP of Central PA

Cumberland County commissioners approved numerous MHIDD contract renewals for state-mandated early intervention services for 2026–27 and amendments increasing some current-year IDD contracts, including a $3,817 increase for Keon Enterprises (to $27,630) and a $109,061 increase for UCP of Central PA (to $565,797).
Miranda Melton presented a comprehensive set of Mental Health, Intellectual Disability, and Developmental Disabilities (MHIDD) contract renewals for fiscal 2026–27 and asked commissioners to approve grouped renewals and a set of adjustments.
Melton told the board the renewals cover state-funded early intervention services such as occupational, physical and speech therapy; social work; diagnostic evaluations; nutrition support; and sign language interpretation. She explained that some contracts required increases based on authorized services, while others decreased after year-end projections.
Two current-year IDD contract amendments were highlighted: Keon Enterprises will receive an increase of $3,817, bringing its total to $27,630 for transportation services, and UCP of Central PA will receive an increase of $109,061 to a total of $565,797 to cover additional community links and residential services. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the renewals and amendments.
Melton said that detailed line-item provider information is available on request; commissioners approved the grouped renewals to avoid repetitive approvals for each provider.
