County planning and capital staff reported on the request-for-proposals process for a solar energy facility on county-owned property and recommended GreenWorks as the final consultant.
Kirk Stoner told commissioners that eight firms responded to the RFP, four were shortlisted, and "we're recommending you go with GreenWorks for solar renewable energy as our final consultant." He said the firm "proposed the most competitive cost competitive rate for us for our our purchase agreement, which is going to result in the lowest the best long-term savings." Chief Clerk Stacy Smedley confirmed no financial conflicts were identified among commissioners and the firms.
Commissioners moved, seconded and voted to approve GreenWorks as the recommended consultant. Staff said the selection reflected analysis of cost and long-term savings in the purchase agreement assumptions.
