The Marshall Public School District board approved its Q Comp annual report at a regular meeting, accepting a staff presentation that reviewed how professional learning communities (PLCs) run the program and identified areas for improvement.
Jeremy, who presented the report, said the document reviews the district's Q Comp operations and highlights what "went well and what we do differently for next year." He noted that Sorcha Victor, the district's Q Comp coordinator for the past few years, has left the district and that Sarah Welch will step in to review and continue the program's work.
The report, Jeremy said, emphasizes PLC activity as a central part of Q Comp and flags a few process items for change. He described Welch's incoming role as a review-and-lead position to "look at just how things are going," and said overall the program is "going really well." The board voted to approve the report by voice vote.
The vote followed routine agenda and consent approvals earlier in the meeting. The board adjourned after taking several additional personnel and program actions.
