Council backs ODOT request to raise Highway 20 segment to 55 mph with cooperative resolution

Barry said the corridor is primarily ODOT right‑of‑way but that the city retains ordinances on segments under city control. He told the council that ODOT wanted a cooperative resolution covering the affected communities and that ODOT would set the exact start and end points. Council members noted ODOT also can revisit posted limits at approaches and if development changes traffic patterns.
Council members approved the resolution by roll call.
