"So what we'd like to ask is for the city to raise a pride flag," one speaker said, outlining options including adding a second flag to an existing pole or installing a third flagpole to host multiple community flags. PFLAG representatives noted that better signage and long-term planning could help balance competing requests if the city receives other flag-raising requests.
The request was made during citizen participation; council members did not take immediate action during the meeting but acknowledged the request and said it could be considered in budget planning.
