The selectboard on June 2 approved a set of routine and personnel items by unanimous voice votes.
Appointments: The board moved and voted unanimously to hire multiple firefighter/EMT candidates pending confirmation they meet chief-set requirements: Paul Antonelli, Zachary Bosset, Charles Gano, Cameron Plank, Jason Miles, Benjamin Whan and Charles Dero. Motions to appoint each candidate were made, seconded and approved.
Property and tax items: The board approved a one-year lease with Civil Construction Management, Inc. for 8B Marramac Road for $10,200 for the term, and approved a land-use-change tax warrant for tax map 1-4-10 as signed by the assessor.
Consent agenda: The selectboard approved the consent agenda and recorded the building department’s scheduled closure for training and a note that the town’s new website is active though a jobs link requires repair.
Vote details: Motions to hire the firefighter/EMT candidates and to approve the lease, land-use item and consent agenda were all recorded as unanimous. Roll-call style affirmations at the nonpublic-session vote later in the meeting show Ashley, Mike, Dan, Joe and Bob voting in the affirmative on recorded matters.
What comes next: New hires will complete any remaining onboarding requirements with the fire department; the town staff will follow up on website fixes and the planning/assessor offices will process the tax-record changes.
