A Kern County Fire Department representative described the benefits of co-location, saying responders partner on every call and being housed together improves collaboration and mutual familiarity. The segment also noted the new station is the department’s 49th fire station, which officials said expands response capacity across the county.
The Tejon Public Safety Center was presented as serving residents, visitors and travelers along the Grapevine, positioned to respond as the southern county region grows. The broadcast framed the center as an operational and community-safety investment made possible through partnership with tribal and private stakeholders rather than as a county-only budget initiative.
