It specifies that the special deputy county attorney will serve without payment of a fee by Lincoln County but that the county will reimburse reasonable costs incurred in the investigation or prosecution.
A member of the public asked for clarity on why the county did not disclose particulars; commissioners explained the board receives only the case number and that details are confined to the investigation. The board moved to adopt the resolution and the motion passed.
The resolution directs the chair to sign and the county clerk to enter the resolution in the minutes. Commissioners said this is a customary step when a conflict or the appearance of a conflict arises and that local counsel from a neighboring county has agreed to assist.
