Commissioners seek clarity after county shifts fire commission calendar and term lengths

Several commissioners said they were not sure why three members’ start or end dates had been altered previously and asked staff to compile an authoritative list showing who comes off and when so the commission can plan staggered replacements and preserve institutional knowledge.
The chair and staff agreed to follow up with records and provide the commission the list of term expirations and the county ordinance language that governs appointments.
