Council tables Clinton Avenue no‑parking resolution to accommodate funeral/church exceptions and enforcement plan

Council members said past signage had allowed Sunday exceptions for church services and funerals and asked for a clearer enforcement and exception policy. "My only concern is on the residents themselves that don't have parking in the yard," one councilor said. Panelists discussed fines and enforcement practicality and suggested crafting an ordinance that allows police discretion for limited exceptions for funerals and other events.
After discussion the council voted to table the resolution and asked staff to return with a revised approach that accounts for special events, enforcement practices and resident access. No change to the roadway signage was enacted at this meeting.
