Nalini Krishnan Kuri, a State College borough council member and member of the local Panipeda Circle, thanked the board for the proclamation and outlined this year's theme—"Power in unity, strengthening communities together"—which encourages sharing stories, recognizing leaders and fostering intercommunity bridgebuilding. Kuri described Panipeda Circle's work creating children's book lists focused on biographies (titles provided to commissioners for classroom use) and noted that student art and writing from the Panipa Fest are on display at local library and borough locations through May.
Graduate student Chinu added personal remarks about heritage as lived values and the quieter acts of community support that sustain local cultural life. Commissioners thanked the visitors, noted the many AANHPI contributions to university and business life in the region, and adopted the proclamation by voice vote; attendees posed for a photograph.
