Architect Timothy Quie presented an amendment to a previously approved application for 12 Test Place that lowers the main-floor elevation to remove an awkward interior flight of steps. Quie said the change elongated several window sills and eliminated three risers at the front entry. Staff recommended the amendment and commissioners, after reviewing photo exhibits and confirming materials, voted unanimously to approve the amendment with conditions to submit final exhibit sheets and material samples.
Commissioners asked only minor clarifying questions about window proportions and portico detail; the board’s consultant indicated the revised elevation is consistent with surrounding properties. The applicant agreed to provide color and material spec sheets before work begins.
