The board authorized the Parks and Recreation Department to solicit bids for a prefabricated concrete restroom building at Brainerd Park as part of a multi-phased redevelopment.
Justin, speaking for Parks and Recreation, said Brainerd Park serves the northeast side of the community and that the existing combined pavilion/restroom (built in 1980) will be demolished and replaced with two structures including a standalone, prefabricated concrete restroom. The proposed building will include ADA-compliant fixtures, LED lighting, electric hand dryers and related components. Justin said site work, grading and foundations will be completed separately and the project will be publicly bid under standard procurement rules.
The board made and approved a motion to authorize solicitation of bids; staff will return with bids and recommendations for award.
