The Board of Public Works approved awarding the Santa Clara sewer-lining contract (Project 2026-02) to Visu-Sewer after receiving three bids.
Mark reported that nine firms downloaded plans and three submitted bids; Visu-Sewer submitted the low bid at $412,212, below the 2026 CIP estimate of $500,000. "So, it came in under what we estimated," Mark said. Staff recommended awarding the contract and authorizing execution of the agreement, with payment from wastewater account 601, which Mark said is funded by sewer user fees rather than property taxes.
The motion to award the contract was made, seconded and approved by voice vote. No roll-call tally was recorded in the transcript.
The award will proceed under the 2026 capital-improvement plan for the wastewater division and staff will return if additional council action is needed under the city procurement process.
