Woodruff, appearing in place of Roberto Stewart, described the phase as bounded by Middleton Road to the west and the Lawrence Kennedy Canal to the north, with commercial frontage along Middleton and interior residential lots.
Woodruff told council there were outstanding completion items but that "the items that are outstanding will be resolved over the next couple of days," and that approving the plat now would allow signatures to be collected when those items are complete rather than waiting another two weeks. Council members asked whether the phase had any ongoing obligation to the nearby roundabout and were told that the connection at the roundabout had been satisfied and that the developer's obligations for the portion of road adjacent to the property had been met.
Council moved and seconded approval of the final plat; the motion passed unanimously. Staff and the applicant will finalize the remaining items and proceed with plat signatures and recording once those items are closed out.
What happens next: staff will monitor completion of outstanding items on Middleton Road; once resolved, the plat signature process will proceed and the phase may move forward with permitted construction and sales according to developer obligations.
