On the Auburn on Main podcast, Jonathan Glover, communications manager for the City of Auburn, outlined several upcoming community events and public-service offerings.
Glover said the Auburn Art Showcase — run in partnership with the Auburn Junior City Council — is scheduled at the Postmark Center for the Arts on Saturday, June 6 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; artist submissions are free. He also announced the Auburn Farmers Market will open Sunday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and urged residents to plan for heavier traffic on market days and during major World Cup matches later in the month.
Glover and co-host Angie reminded listeners that Blood Works will hold a donation drive at City Hall on Tuesday, June 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; they encouraged registering in advance to speed the intake questionnaire and noted walk-ins may be accommodated.
Residents seeking registration links, vendor information or volunteer opportunities were directed to Auburn.gov/parks and related City webpages for schedules and sign-ups.
