The Morrow County Board of Commissioners approved a temporary two-month office clerk FTE to assist the finance department with digitizing records and preparing for an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system rollout.
Finance staff said the position will be funded by reallocating existing accounting/consulting funds with no net increase to the budget. The temporary clerk would perform scanning and records organization and allow the department to catch up on backlog before ERP implementation. Commissioners asked whether the reallocation would affect ERP consulting work; staff said the shift involves accounting consulting funds and is budget-neutral.
The board voted to approve the FTE request following a brief presentation of duties, anticipated duration, and funding source. The county directed staff to process required transfers and begin recruitment for the temporary position.
