Dodge County manager reports grants, events and a $30,000 LRA grant variance

At the June 2 meeting, County Manager Conner Bearden briefed the Dodge County Board of Commissioners on a set of administrative items and upcoming events.
Bearden said the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) has released final legislative updates and that the ACCG Legislative Forum is scheduled for June 18 at the airport. He reported a tire abatement event June 14-22 and a recycling event scheduled for June 21 at the Courthouse Circle. He also told the board that the superior court has issued a revised budget "in accordance with state law," and that an LRA grant amount increased leaving a variance of $30,000.
Commissioner Sharon Cobb Flanagan reported the county airport was the recipient of a grant. On the road committee, Bearden said the meeting date will be decided at a later time.
During public comment, Clay Kirkley followed up with inquiries to the county manager and clerk about requested files. An Amwaste representative stated the companys services were available for any future sanitation needs.
No additional board action was recorded on these items at the meeting; the manager will follow up on outstanding items such as the road committee scheduling and cost information for sanitation assistance.
