Council members emphasized the need for an experienced interim planner before considering new development proposals and agreed they would not act on developer applications without appropriate professional guidance.
The council formed a subcommittee (volunteers named in the meeting) to work with staff and legal counsel to finalize job descriptions and to reconcile any ordinance language that might require changes. The subcommittee was directed to return a draft for council vote and to publish an approved planner job description for recruitment and advertising.
