Staff and volunteers also agreed to prepare name tags and a poster to identify the commission’s table.
The event’s morning schedule was described as beginning with early activities (including a pancake breakfast) and running roughly 7:00 a.m. to noon; commissioners said staggered volunteer shifts should ensure coverage while allowing some to participate in the parade. One commissioner volunteered to draft a large poster and send it to a colleague for review; the poster will be printed on the town plotter (plotter sizes discussed included 24x36 and 34x36).
Organizers said the museum will maintain core display materials and the commission will supplement that presence with outreach handouts and volunteers on site to answer questions. The commission planned to confirm pickup responsibilities for printed materials and finalize volunteer assignments before the event.
The commission’s poster draft and a list of volunteers will be finalized in the coming week and used to produce poster-board and tabletop displays for the booth.
