Timberlane student honored with NHSBA scholarship; board approves several staff nominations

Barrett Christina, executive director of the New Hampshire School Boards Association, presented the 2026 NHSBA South Central student‑board scholarship to Timberlane Regional High School senior Cameron Stack, citing his academic record, honors society memberships, extracurricular involvement and community service.

"Cameron is a young man of many accomplishments and a wonderful representative of Timberlane Regional High School," Barrett said as the certificate was presented. Cameron posed for photos at the front of the board after the recognition.

Separately, the board approved a set of professional nominations: Tiffany Eaton as principal of Danville Elementary School (she has served as acting principal since February), Joshua Latandra as middle music teacher at Sandown North, Julie Sullivan as music teacher at Atinson Academy, and Daniel Sherman as music teacher at Timberlane High School. The board also accepted the professional resignation of Philip Balanoff, a PE and health teacher at Timberlane Middle School. Motions to approve the nominations and to accept the resignation were moved and seconded (Shauna and Mark are recorded as movers/seconders in the personnel action); votes were taken and the motions were approved on the public record.

Why it matters: the NHSBA scholarship recognizes student leadership within local governance, while the personnel actions replace and reorganize school staffing ahead of the next school year. The nomination for Tiffany Eaton will bring continuity to Danville Elementary after a period in which she served as acting principal.

What’s next: Appointments take effect per district hiring procedures; the board will complete non‑public personnel matters under RSA 91‑A as needed.
