Under the new structure, level one carries a $500 minimum fee for events that require minimal borough resources; level two is $1,000, level three is $2,000, and level four is a $3,000 minimum for extensive use of borough resources. Council members confirmed the ordinance preserves the ability to waive fees in appropriate circumstances.
During debate a council member asked whether a fee waiver remains possible; another member clarified plainly, “The fee can still be waived.” The council opened the ordinance for public comment and received none; it then approved the ordinance by roll call vote. Council said the tiering reflects actual resource use and aims to be fair to community groups while covering borough costs.
