On second reading the Atlantic Beach City Commission unanimously adopted Ordinance 90-26-259 on April 13, approving a development agreement between the city and South Coast Capital Partnership Limited governing redevelopment of 299 Atlantic Boulevard.
City staff recommended adoption on second reading and opened the public hearing; the developer's representative, Steven Debenau, waived comment. Commissioners moved, seconded and voted to adopt the ordinance without further public comment. The ordinance authorizes the city manager to execute the development agreement, provides for landscape compensation, and includes standard severability and codification language.
Next steps: Staff will execute the agreement as authorized and proceed with any permit processing and implementation steps in accordance with the agreement and applicable land-use codes.
