Carlinville council appoints Alluvial representative, OKs staff pay raise and tables truck purchase

At its Sept. 15 meeting the Carlinville City Council made a personnel appointment, approved a staff pay increase, and deferred a vehicle purchase.
Alderman Brockmeier moved to appoint Scott Reichmann as the new Alluvial Representative effective Sept. 30, 2025; Alderman Reese seconded and the appointment passed unanimously, 7-0.
The council approved a 4% pay raise for Zoning Administrator/Economic Development and grant writer Bobbi Bates, an increase of $1,640.00 effective immediately. Alderman Ober moved the pay increase; Alderman Wagstaff seconded and the motion was approved unanimously, 7-0.
Separately, Alderman Link moved and Alderman Ober seconded a motion to table consideration of purchasing a new lake truck until the next meeting; the motion to table passed unanimously, 7-0.
These personnel and appointment decisions were recorded without public comment; the council adjourned at 6:22 p.m.
