A GovWorks representative described a communications‑coach training and quality‑assurance platform for the county’s dispatch center, saying the program automates call‑review training and will help standardize evaluations across trainees and veteran staff.
The vendor presented pricing that included a $3,500 one‑time connection/voice‑recorder fee and an initial period where first‑adopter pricing reduced the annual cost to roughly $12,500 (vendor discussion referenced $12,050 for subsequent years after introductory pricing). Commissioners asked about renewal and opt‑out provisions; the vendor said contract language had been adjusted to remove an automatic renewal clause and that the vendor will contact the county 60 days before contract renewal so the county can decide whether to continue. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the contract as presented by a 3–0 vote.
Commissioners asked staff to retain copies of the contract and monitor renewal notices; they also noted that county staff already budgeted the initial cost.
"This will make our center even better for the citizens and the responders," the presenter said when describing the training benefits.
