Commissioners grant 30‑day extension in complex property cleanup and vehicle‑registration case

At a June 8 code‑enforcement hearing, Latricia Krantz said she represents William (William Krantz) and asked the board for a 30‑day extension to address vehicles and debris on property while several occupants remain incarcerated. Krantz said she had been cleaning the parcel but that titles and other documents for some vehicles were missing after William’s arrest in December, and she asked for time so residents can retrieve registrations and avoid immediate disposal.

County code enforcement and the commissioners discussed the legal path forward: officials explained that vehicles without valid registration and that meet the county’s abandoned‑vehicle threshold could be subject to removal, but a civil eviction process may be required before the county can dispose of possessions belonging to a resident. Code enforcement recommended the property owner (or a representative) show valid vehicle registrations for vehicles the resident claims to own and, if necessary, initiate eviction steps against Lawrence Lee for unauthorized vehicles on the property.

The board motioned to grant the 30‑day extension, with conditions: Jeremy Coleman should provide registrations for his vehicles, Patricia/Latricia Krantz should provide registrations she claims, and county staff will begin eviction steps for Lawrence Lee as appropriate.
