Williston commission approves $7.19 million in bills and payroll, moves art display off consent

The Williston City Commission on Aug. 12 approved its consent agenda, authorizing $6,388,547.01 in vouchers and $799,415.38 in payroll for a grand total of $7,187,962.39 covering 660 checks, and carried several routine administrative actions.
The consent package included business licenses, support for the Theodore Roosevelt Expressway (Resolution 25-017), participation in the National Opioids Settlement, a new Armory lease agreement and attorney items including satisfactions of release and a purchase agreement for right-of-way (Resolution 25-018). Commissioner Lucas Gjovig moved to approve the consent agenda and Commissioner Brad Bekkedahl seconded; the motion carried on a unanimous voice vote.
Commissioners also approved numerous vendor payments and capital-related invoices listed in the finance records presented to the board. The minutes list the voucher total as $6,388,547.01 and payroll as $799,415.38; the commission recorded the aggregate total as $7,187,962.39.
Earlier in the meeting the commission agreed to remove item 2A6 (Community Art Display) from the consent agenda for separate recognition. That procedural change was approved on a voice vote before the consent motion. The meeting adjourned at 6:12 p.m.
