Williston approves consent agenda, schedules public hearings and authorizes snow-removal bids

The Williston Board of City Commissioners unanimously approved the consent agenda on Aug. 26, 2025, which included approval of minutes, business licenses, a street-closure request for the Williston High School Homecoming Parade and detailed accounts and payroll totals.
The minutes list a voucher total of $1,525,561.14, payroll totaling $1,579,026.19 and a grand total of $3,104,587.33. The board also authorized public hearings: Sept. 23, 2025 for the 2026 City of Williston budget, and Sept. 9, 2025 for multiple Development Services items including a zone change from Agriculture to M-1 for a 6.10-acre tract in NW Section 2, Township 154, Range 101; a proposed amendment to Ordinance 613 (Ordinance 1168) to allow uncovered decks/porches to encroach up to 6 feet into front-yard setbacks; and a zone change to C-2: General Commercial in Sublot 1, SWNW Section 25 (Black Gold Oilfield Services, LLC).
The board also authorized advertising for bids for 2025–2026 snow-removal contracts for streets and parking lots. Commissioner Victoria Siemieniewski moved approval of the consent agenda; Commissioner Lucas Gjovig seconded. The voice vote was unanimous.
