The Marple Township Board of Commissioners approved a slate of routine financial and administrative measures during its March 9, 2026 meeting, including acceptance of county aid totaling $51,420, ratification of a recent snow‑emergency declaration, several contract awards and a renewal agreement for the ballot drop box outside the township library.
The board voted unanimously, 7–0, to approve the February 26 disbursement report (finance staff stated a total of about $2.3 million), and to accept two county aid payments of $25,710 each (total $51,420) recommended for the 2026 road program. The board also ratified resolution 11026 reaffirming the township’s snow emergency declaration covering Feb. 22–23, 2026.
Other approvals included a seasonal labor services agreement with MJC Labor Solutions at $25.70 per hour, and the award of chemical supply contracts for Paxton Hollow Country Club to multiple vendors as listed in the agenda. The board granted permits for Rose Tree Optimus Foundation flea markets and approved a temporary pop‑up garden (2nd Chance Plants) at 2940 Springfield Road running March 14 through June 14, 2026.
The board also approved renewal of the ballot drop‑box agreement with the Delaware County Bureau of Elections. One commissioner abstained from that vote because of an acknowledged conflict: the abstaining commissioner does some solicitor work for the Bureau. The chair recorded the final vote as 6–0 with one abstention.
"We are asking for this board to approve the disbursement report for February 26, totaling, dollars 2,300,000," the finance director stated when introducing the item; board members voiced no objections during the roll call votes on these routine items.
The meeting adjourned after the votes.
