Chief Brandon detailed multiple incidents dating from January through November 2025, awarding letters of commendation, excellent duty citations and a Lifesave Award to officers whose actions included rapidly locating suspects after an assault at AMC Marple, developing leads in mausoleum‑door thefts through forensic evidence, intervening in a suicidal individual’s hanging attempt, and recovering evidence that linked suspects to multistate fraud and vehicle theft operations.
The chief emphasized interagency cooperation in several cases, naming partners in neighboring jurisdictions and Delaware County teams that assisted in investigations and pursuits. He singled out Officer Chris Stake for multiple recognitions — including a November drone deployment that helped Pennsylvania State Police locate a suspect — and Sergeant Colton Engleman for leadership in multiple incidents that involved stop‑stick deployments and complex arrests.
Several recognitions highlighted both investigative persistence and on‑scene lifesaving: Detective Lazari’s multi‑month probe into burglaries and Detective Sexton’s work locating suspects in robberies were described alongside frontline actions such as detaining a stabbing suspect on a SEPTA bus and rescuing a choking child. The chief closed the awards segment by thanking officers’ families and partner agencies for support.
"Because of those actions, both officers received letters of commendation," the chief said of a 02/06/2025 assault response, and later: "Their actions were coordinated, rapid, and executed under immense emotional pressure" when describing a lifesaving intervention.
The recognition ceremony concluded before staff reports began.
