Marple swears in Joseph Benning as new police officer

The chief said Benning brings more than eight years of policing experience, citing prior service with Chester City Police Department and Ridley Township Police Department, training at Delaware County Community College and a degree from Millersville University. Chief Brandon also noted Benning’s service in the Pennsylvania National Guard from 2015 to 2023 and that family members were in attendance for the swearing‑in.
The ceremony was brief; the board moved on to awards and routine business after congratulating Benning.
