Williston awards truck sweeper, landfill Cell 6 expansion and WRRF reuse pump contracts

The Williston City Commission on April 14 approved three procurement items for public works and utilities, awarding contracts for a truck sweeper, a landfill cell expansion and a wastewater reuse pump station.
City staff recommended awarding the 2025 (or newer) truck sweeper to Sanitation Products of Fargo, N.D., for $409,000 after a lower bid failed to meet specifications; the commission approved the purchase by voice vote.
For the landfill Cell 6 expansion the city received five bids; one was deemed non‑responsive for missing a signed bid. The board approved awarding the base bid plus alternates to Selland Construction with totals not to exceed $1,530,000 and a base bid listed at $1,118,771.25.
City Engineer David Juma reported three bids for the Williston WRRF reuse pump station procurement; the low bid was Dakota Pump LLC at $556,000. Juma noted the equipment lead time is approximately 50–52 weeks, which is why the pump procurement is being separated from the larger pipeline project. The commission voted to accept the bid and directed the City Engineer to execute the necessary documents.
Each procurement motion passed on unanimous voice votes. The awards move forward under the terms presented; staff will return with contract documents and scheduling details as they are finalized.
