Ryan O’Rear, interim airport director, explained the authorization includes a required 24‑hour public notice before spraying operations and that the approval provides a low‑flying aircraft waiver required by the Federal Aviation Administration.
The commission approved the authorization by unanimous voice vote and directed staff to note the public‑notice requirement ahead of any spraying operations.
