Airport project moved to 2025; master plan highlights growth goals

Commissioners were told federal and state grants supporting the project will remain intact and the city's share is roughly $30,000 after reimbursements. The commission approved the budget-year adjustment by voice vote, 4-0.
Dudas also summarized the airport master plan (initiated in 2021) that guides 20 years of maintenance and development, noting goals for cargo-apron and commercial development, completed de-icing apron work, and facility recommendations including additional apron/aircraft parking, a maintenance building expansion, ground-service equipment storage and sanitary-sewer improvements. He said the plan is funded primarily by federal and state grants and helps prioritize investments and forecast capacity needs.
