The Williston City Commission unanimously approved Resolution 24-007 Oct. 22 to amend the Mobile Food Vendor license fee schedule, reducing the initial fee from $1,000 to $500 for qualified food vendors.
Finance Director Hercules Cummings told the commission the Licensing Committee recommended the change to create a more equitable fee structure and reduce cost barriers that can discourage compliance by mobile vendors. Commissioner James Bervig moved approval; Commissioner Brad Bekkedahl seconded and the motion carried on a unanimous voice vote.
The resolution applies to qualified mobile food vendors as defined in the city’s licensing rules; the commission did not alter seasonal distinctions at the Oct. 22 meeting.
